Welcome to my world
It was not my choice that you and I should mesh.
You crept in slowly and your presence grew;
With every day that you came close,
A gradual understanding of my need gained
Trust.
A new dimension seemed to open wide,
Beliefs were questioned, where before was bleak
Hopelessness and hurt, long harboured ,
Slowly banished by your gentle calm; came
Hope.
Patiently you weaved and welded ties which
Bound me closer, though with hindsight felt
Less gossamer, more steel and chafed at times.
We’re worlds apart but joined for now by
Love

This is beautiful! Why are you keeping these to yourself, Araminta?
Thank you Levent: I’m not really hiding them. These have all been published before on MyT but ages ago. All the comments have vanished though, which is irritating.
I just thought I’d transfer them here, in case they all disappear!
It’s ages since I wrote poetry; but I enjoyed it at the time.
Araminta
I see Levent asked the same question that I would have. I never had the opportunity to get to know him well but I am pleased that he left this comment here, and I liked your reply.
Thank you, Ike. Very kind of you.
I always appreciate Levent’s contributions here and on MyT.
HEllo Ara; I agree with what was said earlier: Why are you hiding your poetic light under a bushell?!
Thank you, Claire, most kind of you. I think my poetic career was a bit of a flash in the pan.
I really must try to write some more though; but it’s finding the time. I also need to be in the right mood; at the moment there are too many things happening. I need some peace and quiet!
Wishing you and Bilby a very happy new year, Araminta. God bless you.
My best wishes,
Levent
(Sorry, I didn’t know where to put this)
Hello Levent.
God bless you too, and A Very Happy New Year to you.
Always good to see you.
Kind regards,
Araminta and Bilby
Very Pretty Blog Site! Hello everybody, just passing by on my way to the shops, thought I’d say hello.
Hi Donald.
Thank you for dropping in.
Hello to you too.
This is a surprise find, Ara, and a splendid one! It’s moving and inspirational – such talent you have!
How good to see the reappearance of your poetic talents, Araminta.
I do hope you have hung on to hard copies of your work – three weeks ago our Apple Mac had a seizure from which it has not recovered, and it is fortunate that much of what I value in written work is held on servers to which I have access.
It is hard to admit it but I’ve lost the good habit of back in MyT days when I tried to ‘compose’ with pen on paper before committing work to the computer partly on advice from you when MyT managed to lose so much stuff that was typed straight into the site.
I’m sure writing the occasional poem will please you when you hit on just the right expression, as you have here.
Replying to your nice comment on my Dave/Nick Spoof
BEAUTIFUL love poem. Need setting to music that one.
A wonderful happy Xmas right back to you and your EXTREMEMLY lucky man.
Keep scribbling..
Mox the Rog
Dear Mox, if I may call you that, how very kind of you to look me up.
Your generous comment is much appreciated.
Kind regards.
Ara
Enchanted verse pickled in Truth.
Love with its ethereal web of emotion covers all who taste the truth.
Your poem touches my heart.
Thank you for sharing this.
Kind of you to visit, Mark, and many thanks for your generous comment.
I thought it relevant to your post on MyT, and I thought it was easier for you to read the poem than try to explain my thoughts in prose.
Hi Araminta,
I have taken the liberty of copying your MyT appeal on Gazzopi’s behalf and have used it on my blog. I hope you are OK with this.
No problem with that at all, McBill. The more publicity the better.
So much going on in the back office….I am impressed.
Hello Gazoopi.
Thank goodness it worked! I dislike miscarriages of justice and witch hunts and I felt very strongly that you didn’t deserve to have your archive deleted.
